Un lugar para existir [A Place to Exist]

The exhibition brings together Eddy Leonel Aldana (GT), Jackie Amézquita (GT), Häsler Gómez (GT), Eddy A. López (NI), Lorena Molina (SV), Paulina Velázquez (CR–MX), and Martín Wannam (GT), Central American artists whose personal and family histories have been shaped by different forms of migration to the United States.

Drawing from experiences of Central American migration and diaspora, objects, images, and materials take on new meanings across territories and generations. Un lugar para existir explores how memory and identity shift through displacement and how, through these transformations, new ways of living, desiring, and returning are formed.

The exhibition is accompanied by a podcast series produced in collaboration with Agencia Ocote.
