Our 2027–2028 residency open call is now open!

Apply by October 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

La Nueva Fábrica is now accepting applications for its 2027–2028 residency open call, welcoming artists, curators, and visual arts professionals of any nationality who are 18 years of age or older. Five residencies lasting 4 to 8 weeks will be selected to take place between September 2027 and June 2028 in Antigua Guatemala. Each residency includes a USD 2,000 stipend, accommodation at La Nueva Fábrica, airport transfers, and curatorial support throughout the stay.

Individuals, duos, and applicants with children are welcome to apply. No formal academic degree or prior knowledge of Spanish is required. Proposals may focus on research, production, or the development of a project, and applicants are not required to present a final outcome.

This year’s jury is composed of Andrei Fernandez, Helena Lugo, and Cindy Sissokho. Applications may be submitted in Spanish or English until October 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (Guatemala time).
