CHIXOT: From Symbol to Painting

Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

We invite you to participate in a painting workshop led by painter Uriela Cumez. Drawing from symbols, forms, and visual elements present in the art of San Juan Comalapa, this workshop proposes painting as a space for personal expression and collective memory. Participants will work on clay comales, incorporating textile references and their own narratives through the process of pictorial creation.
