Location: Departing from Santa Ana’s Square, walking towards Antigua’s Central Park
We invite you to A Needle, A Voice, a silent walk to commemorate those murdered by violence in Central America. Our artist-in-residence Catta Matute walks with a veil over her face as a symbol of protection, while embroidering a portrait and telling the story of her father, who was murdered in Honduras. In doing so, she gives a face and voice to the statistics of violence in the region, illustrating how the personal becomes collective.
