Saturday, October 19 at 4:30 p.m.
Please join us on October 19 for a celebration of nature and cultural heritage through the Kaqchikel language. At 3:30 p.m. we will screen present a screening of Guacamayas.
At 4:30 p.m., we will gather with LNF artist in residence Wilson Vázquez Oró, kaqchikel poet Negma Coy, and sociolinguist Samuel Vásquez for a reading of poems and stories in Kaqchikel, evoking the tradition of storytelling around the fire—a cherished practice that families have nurtured for centuries but which is slowly fading away.
The event is free. To reserve your spot, please email info@lanuevafabrica.org or call / send a WhatsApp message to +502-7882-4612
