La Nueva Fábrica is pleased to announce the opening of the next exhibition of íNTIMO, our project space. 

JARDÍN [GARDEN] is an immersive installation by Cecilia Porras-Sáenz developed during her three-month residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts. The residency was part of the MAZORCA grant, of which Cecilia was the first recipient. MAZORCA is a project dedicated to building bridges between Central America and Europe through the arts. 

Cecilia Porras-Sáenz’s installation arises from the artist’s research on gardens and what they represent in our societies. JARDÍN plays between the two-dimensionality of the canvas and the three-dimensional experience in space, appealing to our senses, from hearing to smell. 

The project is presented in conjunction with the new exhibition at La Nueva Fábrica’s main gallery, Margarita Azurdia: A Universe, Documented curated by Rossina Cazali. Azurdia was one of the first residents of the Cité des Arts in Paris nearly 50 years ago. 

JARDÍN  is presented in collaboration with MAZORCA and with the curatorial accompaniment of Christina Chirouze Montenegro.
