La Nueva Fábrica is more than an art space. It is a bridge—between disciplines, communities, and regions. Based in a textile factory in Antigua, Guatemala, our nonprofit center is reimagining how contemporary art can connect education, culture, and shared histories across the Americas.

We exist to support the next generation of artists—not just as creators, but as storytellers, connectors, and cultural leaders. Our mission is rooted in Guatemala but speaks to a wider need across Central and South America: the need for creative infrastructure, global access, and platforms that recognize and elevate regional voices.

As the only nonprofit contemporary art center in Guatemala and one of the few in Central America, La Nueva Fábrica has become a hub of innovation and inclusion. We focus on purpose—centering artists from historically underrepresented backgrounds, and making contemporary art accessible, relevant, and deeply grounded in context.

New Roots Foundation, our parent organization, is a 501(c)(3) and Public Charity. Donations are tax deductible in the United States.
